My research focuses on the neuroprotective role of brain-derived erythropoietin in mitochondrial dysfunction-induced neurodegeneration. Using a rotenone mouse model and high-resolution respirometry, I investigate how endogenous erythropoietin modulates mitochondrial respiration and neuroinflammatory responses in vulnerable brain regions. This work aims to provide mechanistic insight into neurodegenerative processes associated with impaired oxidative metabolism and hypoxia-related pathways.
