Our research primarily aligns with the AIRS Network axis of Care, prevention and health promotion. We are conducting a prospective clinical study exploring how oscillatory positive expiratory pressure (OPEP) therapy can help patients living with COPD and chronic bronchitis. The project focuses on a non-pharmacologic approach to improving mucus clearance, reducing symptom burden, and enhancing respiratory mechanics using both patient-reported outcomes and physiologic lung measurements. Through this work, we aim to identify practical, patient-centered strategies that can improve quality of life and support better long-term management of chronic respiratory disease.
