Transport and sustainable health: An intersectoral journey!

The quality of the natural, industrial, urban, and rural environment plays a key role in the concept of sustainable health. Transportation, in the broadest sense, is a determining factor in this environmental quality. With this in mind, the theme chosen for the joint AIRS/CARES/Précrisa conference is transportation, considered across its entire continuum: from fundamental research (intracellular transport, ionic transport, bioaerosols, cell migration, etc.) to passenger and freight transportation, including urban planning and legislation on noise and air pollution related to transportation activities. We will also explore how to leverage our research from an environmental perspective of sustainable health in the community.
